Apache CloudStack

A proven, open-source cloud computing platform for deploying and managing large-scale Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments — enabling organisations to build and operate their own private or public cloud with full control and no per-instance licensing fees.

The Challenge
Organisations need cloud agility without ceding control of their infrastructure

As demand for self-service compute, on-demand resource provisioning and multi-tenant infrastructure grows, many organisations find that public cloud costs become unpredictable at scale — while fully on-premise solutions lack the automation and elasticity that modern workloads require.

Unpredictable and escalating public cloud costs
Public cloud compute and storage costs grow rapidly with scale, and egress charges, reserved instance commitments and complex pricing models make total cost of ownership difficult to control and forecast.
Data sovereignty and regulatory compliance requirements
Certain data classifications — including environmental monitoring records and industrial control system data — must remain within Vietnam's borders, making public cloud hosting complex or impractical from a compliance perspective.
Lack of self-service provisioning and automation
Traditional on-premise infrastructure requires manual provisioning that cannot meet the speed and agility expectations of development teams and business users accustomed to cloud-style self-service resource allocation.
Our Solution
CloudStack — build your own private cloud on your own terms

Apache CloudStack is a mature, Apache-licensed IaaS platform used by some of the world's largest cloud service providers and enterprises. It provides a complete cloud management layer — including compute orchestration, network management, storage abstraction, user and account management, and a self-service portal — deployable on your own hardware, fully under your control.

Deployed and managed by Cleantech IT SolutionsOur team handles the full CloudStack engagement — from infrastructure sizing and hardware procurement through to platform deployment, hypervisor integration, network configuration and ongoing cloud operations management.

CloudStack supports multiple hypervisors including KVM, VMware vSphere and XenServer — allowing organisations to leverage existing virtualisation investments while gaining cloud management capabilities. Its AWS-compatible EC2 API enables existing cloud-native tooling to work against a private CloudStack environment without modification.

Organisations operating industrial parks, data centres or multi-facility environmental operations can use CloudStack to deliver internal cloud services to multiple business units or tenants — each with isolated networks, resource quotas and self-service provisioning — from a single managed platform.

Key Capabilities
What CloudStack delivers for your organisation
Complete IaaS Management Platform
CloudStack provides a full-stack cloud management layer covering compute, network, storage and user management — with both a browser-based management console and comprehensive REST and EC2-compatible APIs for programmatic control.
Multi-Tenant Self-Service Portal
CloudStack's self-service portal enables end users and teams to provision virtual machines, configure networks and manage storage independently — reducing the burden on central IT while maintaining governance through resource quotas and usage accounting.
Advanced Network Management
CloudStack supports a comprehensive range of network topologies including isolated networks, VPCs, load balancers, VPN gateways and firewall rules — providing the network isolation and security required for multi-tenant cloud environments.
Multi-Hypervisor Support
CloudStack manages KVM, VMware vSphere, XenServer and Hyper-V hypervisors within a single platform — allowing organisations to standardise cloud management across heterogeneous virtualisation environments without consolidating to a single hypervisor.
Flexible Storage Integration
CloudStack integrates with primary and secondary storage backends including NFS, iSCSI, Ceph RBD and local storage — and supports object storage for template, ISO and snapshot repositories, enabling flexible and scalable storage architecture.
No Per-Instance Licensing Fees
As an Apache-licensed open-source platform, CloudStack carries no per-VM, per-core or per-user licensing fees — making the total cost of ownership predictable and independent of the size of your virtual machine estate.
How We Work
From requirements to running private cloud

Building a private cloud requires careful architectural planning. Our five-phase delivery methodology ensures your CloudStack environment is designed for performance, security and long-term operability.

01
Requirements & Use Case Analysis
Workload profiling, tenant requirements, network topology, storage needs and compliance constraints — forming the basis of the CloudStack architecture design.
02
Infrastructure Design & Procurement
Physical infrastructure specification — compute nodes, management servers, networking and storage — and hardware procurement aligned to your workload and budget.
03
Platform Deployment & Configuration
CloudStack management server installation, zone and pod configuration, hypervisor host registration, network provider setup, storage pool configuration and self-service portal customisation.
04
Testing, Training & Handover
Functional and performance validation, administrator and end-user training, documentation handover and SLA agreement prior to production acceptance.
05
Managed Cloud Operations
Ongoing platform monitoring, capacity management, version upgrades, security patching, tenant support and quarterly cloud utilisation reviews under a managed services agreement.
